“Basketball is the classroom. Understanding is the curriculum. Control is the outcome.”

Foundation

The Four Binaries

Clear decision frames used by the program every day.

Cause ↔ Effect

Players are taught to stop reacting to outcomes and start identifying what caused them.

  • Why did we give up the run?
  • What action created the open shot?
  • What habit produced this turnover?

Black ↔ White

+

Standards must be clear. Either we communicated or we did not. Either we executed or we did not.

Forward ↔ Backward

+

Every action moves the player, possession, team, or program forward or backward.

Progressive ↔ Regressive

+

Every decision is evaluated by whether it moves us closer to the goal or farther away.
